ALT is proud to announce auditions for our first show of 2013 — the beloved classic “Little Women”!
*Auditions will be held in the upstairs rehearsal hall of the Albuquerque Little Theatre on Saturday, November 3, 2012. There will be two audition sessions: 10 – 11:30 am and 12 – 1:30 PM.
You may attend either session but please plan to arrive at the beginning of the session and plan to stay until the end. You do not need to sign up before the auditions.
*Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and some improvisational scenes related to themes in the play. Please bring a recent photo or head shot to be attached to the audition form. Auditions forms will be available at the time of the auditions.
*Callbacks, if needed will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012, at 5 PM in the same location.
*Cast:
The March Sisters:
Jo 18-24 years old
Meg 17-22 years old
Amy 17-22 years old
Beth 16 -20 years old – Must be able to play piano
The older members of the family:
Hannah (the housekeeper) – 40+ years old
Marmee (the mother) – 40+ years old
Aunt March – 50+ years old
Father – 40+ years old
The Neighbors:
Mr. Lawrence – 50+ years old
Laurie (young man) – 18-24 years old
Brooke (Laurie’s tutor) – 20-30 years old
The age ranges on the characters are for guidance only. A character may be aged to appear older or an older actor may pass for younger.
*No actors younger than 16, please.
*Rehearsal Schedule:
Rehearsals will begin on Monday, November 12th, at 6:30 PM in the upstairs rehearsal room at ALT. The tentative schedule is for Monday through Thursday from 6:30 to 8 PM and Sunday afternoon from 2-4 PM. The times and days may alter slightly once a cast is chosen and depending on their schedules. We will not rehearse on November 21-22, December 23-26, December 31, or January 1.
*Please note that rehearsals will be held throughout the holiday season so you will need to be in town if you are cast.
