Theatre Camps for Children and Youth

Summer is a time to have fun, try new things and make new friends! If you have a “drama kid” at your house, please consider one of ALT’S Theatre Camps as you make your summer plans!

Camps run from 9:00AM to 12PM, Monday – Friday.
Fee per 2-week session is $225.00.

Campers will learn all about what goes into putting on a play as they prepare for a showcased performance for family and friends on Albuquerque Little Theatre’s historic stage.

Camps are perfect for all skill levels and everyone is guaranteed a role and a great time!

 

Session 1: Play Builders, June 5 – 16
Showcase on Saturday June 17 at 11AM
Age Range: 7 – 12

In this one-of-a-kind program campers create their very own characters, discuss storylines and improvise scenarios, which will be incorporated into an original script written just for them.

 

Session 2: Let’s Put on a Play, June 19-30
Showcase on Saturday July 1 at 11AM
Age Range: 10 – 17

Campers will learn all about what goes into putting on a production in a play selected especially for them.

 

Session 3: Musical Theatre Workshop, July 10-21
Showcase on Saturday July 22 at 11
Age Range: 7 – 17

Does your child love to sing and be on stage? Join us for a musical adaptation of the traditional folk tale Stone Soup.

 

Mini-camp for Play Actors*
July 24 – 27, Monday – Thursday, 9:30 – 11AM
Fee for camp: $60.00

This camp for young children (Ages 4 – 6) introduces them to the magic of theatre where imaginations come alive while exploring the theme, In the Land of Make Believe.

Camp includes theatre games, stories and songs to act out and fun activities.

*This camp does not showcase.
