The Vivian Awards are named after the late Vivian Vance, who began her acting career on the Albuquerque Little Theatre Stage. Below you can see the one of a kind portrait that was donated by Vivians family to the theatre . You can view the actual portrait in the ALT lobby, along with her Emmy Award and other accolades.

Vivian Vance was an American television and theater actress and singer. Vance is best known for her role as Ethel Mertz, sidekick to Lucille Ball on the American television sitcom I Love Lucy, and as Vivian Bagley on The Lucy Show.

At a large, tastefully appointed Sneden’s Landing townhome, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four other couples are about to experience a severe attack of Farce. At a gathering celebration for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the upstairs bedroom, and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken, and wife, Chris, must get “the story” straight before the other guests arrive. The confusions and mis-communications mount, as the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.
