Classes for Kids
Albuquerque Little Theatre is excited to announce our EXPANDED SUMMER 2013 EDUCATION CLASSES!
ALT loves inspiring and educating young actors, and we’ve got fantastic classes to do just that! Imagination, creativity, skill-building and FUN are what we’re all about! And now, we’ve added more class opportunities for older kids, so there’s something for all of your favorite young aspiring actors to do this summer. Join us!
ALT 2013 Children’s Summer Class Schedule:
**Play Builders Camp: Create an original play! Be part of a one-of-a-kind, never before seen original play, full of characters created by you and your fellow campers! It’s going to be a lot of fun and our show will be performed on ALT’s main stage on the last day of class for family and friends.
Ages: 7 – 11
When: June 3 -14 l Monday – Friday l 9:00am – Noon
Fee: $200.00
**Musical Theatre Camps for Young Actors: Scenes and songs from famous musicals! The camps will include vocal and acting training and stage movement with scene work and songs from Peter Pan (Camp 1) and Roar of the Grease Paint, Smell of the Crowd (Camp 2). Each session will culminate with a showcase of the course work on ALT ‘s main stage. In charge of the training is Lou Ann Graham, director of the ALT Conservatory with select instructors.
Ages: 8 – 17
When: Camp 1: June 17 – 28 l Monday – Friday l 9:00am – 12:30pm
Showcase: Saturday June 29 Time TBA
Camp 2: July 8 – 19 l Monday – Friday l 9:00am – 12:30pm
Showcase: Saturday July 20 Time TBA
Fee: $250.00
**Let’s Put On a Play: Perform on ALT’s main stage! This camp will produce one of Bill Hayden’s (playwright and founder of Albuquerque Children’s Theatre) delightful plays. Learn all about what goes into putting on a play by doing it!
Ages: 8 – 17
When: June 17 – July 24 l Monday & Wednesday l 1:00 – 4:00pm
Fee: $300.00
**Once Upon a Play: Be in a brand new play! Participants will learn basic acting skills as they rehearse and perform one of Kate Murphy Sanchez’s original plays. Play will be showcased on ALT’s main stage!
Ages: 8 – 12
When: July 29 – August 9 l Monday – Friday l 9:00am – Noon
Fee: $200.00
**Mini-Camps for Play Actors: Each week focuses on a different theme and includes theatre games, stories to act out and a fun activity that compliments the theme of the day!
Ages: 4 – 6
When: Monday – Thursday l 9:30 – 11:00am
Fee: $60.00/week

July 8 – 11: If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and Friends
July 15 -18: Pirates, Treasure and Noodle Soup
July 22 – 25: Dragons and Dinosaurs
